About and method
Comp Benefit Caps lists the weekly benefit limits for workers' compensation in each US state. It is independent, has no link to any state agency, insurer or law firm, and is not legal advice.
- Each maximum and minimum comes from the state workers' compensation agency's own rate notice or table for the current period.
- Where the official page could not be read, we used a copy from another source and mark it "secondary".
- Rules on the rate, waiting period and payback come from the agency's pages or the statute.
- A state is published once its current maximum is confirmed. A fact we could not confirm is left out, never guessed.
- The calculator is a rough estimate only. The real figure depends on how your state defines average weekly wage and other rules.
Corrections
Most states reset these limits once a year. New notices are checked and every change is dated in the change log. No payment is accepted to change, add or remove anything.
